One of the perks of living on the Main Line is the awesome resource known as Main Line School Night. In fall and spring of every year, a huge offering of adult classes become available. Many are offered at Lower Merion High School with others at locations around the area. Some are single seminars (one-time classes), while most meet weekly, and run six to eight weeks. Want to learn calligraphy? wine appreciation? conversational German? Does yoga for seniors sound interesting? How about music appreciation or a DIY class on home repair? There are trips to places like Newport, RI, classes on computer technology, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, how to make great first impressions, local history, literature–you name it! It’s a great, inexpensive way to cultivate a hobby or interest, meet new people in the community and do something other than work and whatever your daily life normally consists of. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
